A few days ago we went to take a look at our young stallions. We isolated the 1 year old Hrannar from the group and took a better look at him, since we had not done so since he was a foal.
Hrannar is sired by the pure bred Hindisvík stallion, Glæsir frá Hindisvík, and his mother is Flugsvinn frá Höskuldsstöðum. This makes Hrannar 50% from the Hindisvík bloodline which is unfortunately one of the strongest you can find in a stallion today, except for his father who is the last pure bred stallion of the bloodline. Flugsvinn is not from the Hindisvík line but is sired by two first price parents, Geisli frá Sælukoti (double Landsmót winner) and Hrönn frá Höskuldsstöðum (9 for tölt and general impression).
Hrannar chooses to trot and has the so called "Hindisvík-trot", with a lot of long suspension and high movement of the hind legs.

Another interesting thing about this video are the fields in the background. They are still as green as in the summertime, and the video was taken 8th of november !

Below you can see the video and pictures are taken out of it.
