Now I think it is time to announce a new member to our herd that we are very excited about.
Her name is Kleópatra frá Kirkjubæ, a daughter of Otur frá Sauðárkróki and the famous Rauðhetta frá Kirkjubæ. Rauðhetta set a world record as the highest judged breeding horse in the world, and the record was unbeaten for many years. (Her total score is 8.81, with a riding ability score of 9,23! There of 10 for tölt, 9.5 for pace, head, neck/shoulders/withers and 9 for trot, willingness and form under rider)

Tobbi has been fond of this mare for years and it was a very big surprise for him when he got her as a birthday present for his round birthday.
Kleópatra and her son sired by Valgarð frá Kirkjubæ
Kleópatra is now with the last pure bred stallion of the old Hindisvík bloodline, Glæsir frá Hindisvík.
We now have come to a point where we have to consider how to breed the old bloodline further. There are only a very few pure bred horses left and the last stallion is getting elderly. Rauðhetta frá Kirkjubæ (Kleópatra's mother) is a daughter of Brana frá Kirkjubæ, who is a daughter of Glóblesi frá Hindisvík. There we have a connection back to the old Hindisvík bloodline, as well as this mixture (Hindisvík + Kirkjubær) was very successful when Glóblesi was used as a stallion in Kirkjubær. From that came many famous horses, for example: Seifur, Sóti and his grandson, Strákur frá Kirkjubæ. Those three horses were all in the finals in European Championships.
