The following pictures were taken in Hindisvík in 1988. Photographer is Brigitte Englisch.
We are super happy and grateful for those valuable pictures and for being able to share them here.
It is worthy to start with this picture of Glóblesi 700 frá Hindisvík. An important ancestor of the bloodline. He is now in the pedigree of every Hindisvík bloodline horse that we have in our breeding.
Glóblesi got 1st price both as an individual and for his offsprings. He got very good results with his offsprings in Kirkjubær, there he produced many famous gæðingar like Seifur, Sóti, Strákur, Brana and her daughter, Rauðhetta frá Kirkjubæ.
Glóblesi also had some very good offsprings in Hindisvík. Like Huginn frá Hindisvík who was a very sucessful competition horse. First home in Iceland and later he became norwegian master in tölt and fourgait. Another son of Glóblesi, Muninn frá Hindisvík, became swedish master in fivegait and pace (gæðingaskeið).
Glóblesi, there he was 25 years old. This was one of his last years in breeding.

It was interesting to see a picture of the sheep houses in Hindisvík. They are not there anymore.
